Mamma Carolina
Villa
Mamma Agata is a beautiful, antique villa (late '700) full of charm where you can feel the pure countryside atmosphere like in the past. Antique items and furniture will unveil you the real Sicily, along with exteriors full of greenery, trees and succulents of all kinds. From every corner you can enjoy a breathtaking view, from the terrace, the pool or behind the house.
The villa is located in a strategic position between Etna and the sea ... and what a sea! With clear days you can also see the famous Taormina. At the entrance after the main gate you are immersed in the lush garden with also space for parking cars. A staircase leads to the entrance of the house. There is lava stone everywhere.
Before entering the house you cross a cute terrace, with table and chairs where you can eat under the shade of a large walnut tree. Right next to it there is the barbecue.
The whole house expands on one floor. Entering you find the kitchen. Rustic and cozy, it has everything you need. The living room is located in the center of the house; elegant, bright and with antique furniture. The French door opens to another patio behind the house. There is a corner with a small table and chairs for relaxing, too.
There are three bedrooms. Two doubles and one single. The master bedroom is very spacious, there is also a single bed in addition to the double, there’s a desk, closet, dresser... The last two are smaller and look towards the terrace, always elegant. Moreover, through a door they can communicate with each other. All the bedrooms are with AC.
The bathrooms are two, close to each other. Both with shower.
Just adjacent the main house (about 10 meters away) here it is the palmento, that is the house were in the past was made the wine.
It's one of the biggest in Sicily (about 400 sqm), entirely built with the lava stone and about 200 years old.
Here inside you can see many millstones that once were used to collect the grapes and now have been transformed in a sort of house of delights with pool table, treadmill (“tapis roulant”), table-football, chess, and home gym.
In the main millstone of the palmento has been realized a sort of alcova, with a double bedroom and fascinating white curtains.
It's a Paradise for children!
It's like to sleep in an enormous grotto with plenty of games at your disposal!
Indeed, it's a Paradise for adults too!
And finally, what about the pool area? Surrounded by the lawn, overlooking the sea and surrounded only by nature.
Mamma Agata will offer you a unique stay, relax is guaranteed!
Upon arrival, you will be required to pay the Tourist Tax, required by the Municipality of Giarre of € 1.50 ( per person) , excluding children under 14 years

We are in San Giovanni Montebello a quite village between Etna Park and the Ionian sea.
In the village you can find everything you need: restaurants, pharmacy, bakery, butchery, supermarket...
From San Giovanni Montebello you can reach the Etna Park in less than 5 km’s.
The closest beach is in Riposto, about 10 km's away. In this town you will also find a very renowned fish market.
Taormina (photo), the pearl of Sicily, is 25 km’s away and Giardini Naxos, with its marvellous sandy beaches and promenade, about 15 km's distance.
Catania is about 20 km's away: park the car in Piazza Alcalà and enjoy the historical center (fishmarket, Piazza Duomo, Via Etnea).
You are in the land of ice creams and granite: have the latter for breakfast (with brioche).
Pasta? Uhmmm ... let me think …: Norma, Vongole, Nero di Seppia, Sarde!
Syracuse, the powerful town in V century b.C., with its stunning archeological ruins, is roughly 70 km's away.
I suggest you a visit to Acireale (15 kms) that shows a nice Baroque style architecture.
Just 40 kms away here it is Savoca, a very romantic and Sicilian town, where many sequences of the Godfather movie were shot.
