Mamma Graziella
Villa
Prestigious villa, one of a kind, in the center of Catania, with a wonderful view of Etna and the Ionian Sea. The villa is located in the picturesque neighborhood of Ognina and close to the beautiful and renowned Catania seafront, dotted with bars, restaurants, playgrounds, cycle-pedestrian paths, well-equipped bathing beaches.
A perfect starting point for the visiting of the Catania.
Mamma Olivia is a feast of light with panoramic seascape from about all the rooms.
The luxurious property consists of two floors.
On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms (one of which is on an attic floor with an adjoining bathroom with shower), two bathrooms (one with shower and the other with bathtub), an elegant living room, a fully equipped kitchen and an orangery-living room overlooking the garden with huge windows.
On the first floor we have two double bedrooms, a bathroom, two refined living rooms, a large kitchen and a terrace equipped with tables and lounges whose view will remain an unforgettable memory: panorama of Etna and the sea.
The lush park stands on an ancient lava flow originated millenia ago and is a riot of flowers and trees of the Mediterranean scrub.
Here you can enjoy lounges, romantic corners, stone benches, there is also ancient cistern with a round bench, a XV century tower, a playground, a vegetable garden, and, above all an internal kitchen with BBQ and fires, and a glassed-in lounge with table and sofa. Here there also is a bathroom
Finally, here is the swimming pool area (it’s a large Jacuzzi than a pool), created in a niche in the park, among the lava stone, flowers and trees.
Mamma Olivia also has a private parking suitable for 5 cars
Bedrooms (4) and bathrooms (): Ground floor: one double; a bathroom with shower; a bathroom with bathtub; a double room with bathroom with shower in the mezzanine. First floor: two double bedrooms; a bathroom with tub-shower.

Mamma Olivia is in the heart of one of the most luxurious and ancient neighborhoods of Catania: the picturesque neighborhood of Ognina.
Here you can enjoy the famous Catania seafront, dotted with bars, restaurants, playgrounds, cycle-pedestrian paths, well-equipped bathing beaches.
Certainly the best logistical position to visit the town of Etna.
In Catania, I suggest you to park the car in Piazza Alcalà and from there have a walk all around the town: you can start from the worldwide famous Pescheria located in Piazza Duomo (the heart of Catania) and from it approach the Via Etnea, the main street of the town, a pedestrian street with many shops, cafe's and wonderful buldings in Baroque style. Let's walk for about a kilometer, visiting the Roman amphitheatre (in Piazza Stesicoro) until arrive to the Villa Bellini (Catania's public garden).
Worth a visit the sea villages of Acitrezza and Acicastello (5 kms) where you can enjoy lots restaurants, a castle, the renowned Faraglioni (sea stacks), a promenade and delicious fish dishes!
We are in the eastern side of Sicily, the homeland of Etna volcano with its very special amenities such as inactive craters (the sons of Etna), caves, forests, lava flows of the past.
The pearl of Sicily, one of the worldwide masterpieces of beauty: here it is Taormina, 30 kms, an evergreen location that has attracted people since the ancient times. Archaeology, myth, a typical Arab style architecture, amazing landscapes, a blue sea, and such a noble atmosphere, gives Taormina a unique charm. A walk in Via del Corso is an unforgettable moment to do not miss among exclusive shops, delicious restaurants and coffee, stunning views of the sea, the Greek theatre, the terrifying shape of Etna volcano on the background.
Few kilometers away from Taormina downtown, here it is one of the most beautiful place in the world: Taormina mare (Mazzarò, Spisone, Isolabella), with many lido (private beaches provided with deckchairs, restaurants, beach facilities) along the coastline.
Isolabella
Syracuse, with its archeological area and the wonderful Ortigia island, is 60 kms away.
Its time to eat something and my tip is to taste the unmissable Pasta alla Norma and to enjoy, at least once, a typical Sicilian breakfast: granita and brioche!
And, of course, fish, fish, fish … and do not miss to visit some of ours outdoor fish markets (Riposto, Acitrezza, Catania).
