Amazing Sicily villa 4 km’s away from Unesco’s Scicli and from the stunning beach of Sampieri, one of the most renowned location of the fiction Inspector Montalbano. The pool area has a large solarium and a sauna.

I live in Scicli, the most beautiful town in the word, a bit because it is said by the great novelist Elio Vittorini and a bit because it’s my homeland that I love for its naturalistic and artistic beauties and, most of all, for its landscapes, its light, its blue sea, its golden beaches!
Here you can find the so proverbial ospitality of the Sicilians: we live peacefully and in harmony.
Scicli, together with Modica (5 km’s away) and Ragusa (10 km’s) it’s a Unesco’s word site for Baroque style.
All the town its a masterpiece of what we could call the real Sicily, in fact Scicli is the spot for the well-known movie fiction Inspector Montalbano.
The via Mornino Penna is the hearth of the city and here is a beautiful Museo del costume.
Don’t forget to visit at least one of the three hills that overlook Scicli. You can go up to them walking through narrow alleys that recall the visitors a very ancient Sicily.
Inside the town have a visit to the Chiafura, a sort of ancient Scicli, with dwellings carved in the rock where once lived our great-grandparents

Our golden beaches are among the most famous in Sicily: Sampieri (5 km’s), Cava d’Aliga (5 km’s), Donnalucata (5 km’s) and Marina di Ragusa (8 km’s).
If you love nature this are my suggestions: Irminio river (5 km’s), the lakes of Cava Grande canyon (50 km’s) and the astonishing Vendicari a paradise for birdwatchers.
Two other Unesco’s, unmissable, masterpieces not so far: Syracuse (70 km’s), the capital of the Mediterranean in V b.C; and the famous Noto (50 km’s)
Another great site is Cava d’Ispica (photo, 20 km’s) where nature and archaelogy live together.
Our kitchen is very rich of recipes and still now our old women do it as it once was.
This is the menù I suggest you (with the kind permission of Mamma’s chef Silvana, of course): sea fruits, squid, sepia, mullet, pasta with swordfish, teste di turco (a typical Scicli’s sweet).
In Donnalucata (5 km’s) you will find a renowned outdoor fish market
