Mamma Nunzia

This house is called Ultima (the Last in the Italian) because it is the last European house on the mainland, the most southern.
It is surrounded by two seas and in front of it stands the island delle Correnti.
It is, in short, a unique house in the world.
Luxurious, wild, Sicilian, with a beautiful sandy beach right next to it, you will probably never forget it.
The scent of the sea, the charm of the sunset and sunrise, the refinement of its interiors...
The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious holiday.
Bedrooms (3) and bathrooms (3): A double en-suite (with shower); a double; a twin; a bathroom with shower; a bathroom with shower

The house is located in the southern side of Sicily in the municipality of Portopalo, renowned for its good fish and its golden beaches (just in front of the house).
Just 15 kms away there is the wonderful archeo-nature reserve of Vendicari, a Paradise on Earth: ruines from the past (Greeks, Romas, Byzantines, Aragoneses), beaches, birdwatching spots
The world famous Baroque style architecture of Noto is about 30 kms away.
Syracuse, the stunning Syracuse, with its archeological area and the wonderful Ortigia island, is 60 kms away.
Just 50 kms and you will arrive to other two masterpieces of Sicilia Baroque style: Modica and Ragusa
Catania is 120 kms away. You can start the visit from the worldwide famous Pescheria located in Piazza Duomo (the heart of Catania) and from it approach the Via Etnea, the main street of the town, a pedestrian street with many shops, cafe's and wonderful buldings in Baroque style. A Roman amphitheatre (in Piazza Stesicoro) until arrive to the Villa Bellini (Catania's public garden).
We are in the eastern side of Sicily, the homeland of Etna volcano (120 kms) with its very special amenities such as inactive craters (the sons of Etna), caves, forests, lava flows of the past.
The pearl of Sicily, one of the worldwide masterpieces of beauty: here it is Taormina, 150 kms, an evergreen location that has attracted people since the ancient times. Archaeology, myth, a typical Arab style architecture, amazing landscapes, a blue sea, and such a noble atmosphere, gives Taormina a unique charm. A walk in Via del Corso is an unforgettable moment to do not miss among exclusive shops, delicious restaurants and coffee, stunning views of the sea, the Greek theatre, the terrifying shape of Etna volcano on the background.
Its time to eat something and my tip is to taste the unmissable Pasta alla Norma and to enjoy, at least once, a typical Sicilian breakfast: granita and brioche!
And, of course, fish, fish, fish …
