The Calagna valley is just few steps away from the little town of Tortorici, at 700 m. a.s.l.
Full immersed inside the Nebrodi mountains, the valley is renowned beacuse of the Petagna saniculaefolia,a survived plant of 65 millions of years ago, that saved itself thanks to the peculiar weather conditions of this place.
We suggest to visit the valley during the springtime when the flowers of the Petagna are whites.
Along the forest one can also see many ancient mills.
Eventually, do not miss the visit to the Padirà hamlet.
