Vassallaggi
This site was inhabited from ancient times (2nd millenium BC) to Roman times. There are ruins of several buildings (houses, walls, places of cult worship…) outlining what must have been a thriving city. The excellent artifacts have been moved to museums all around Sicily. The necropolis of the site is very evocative with hundreds of tombs carved in rock, a few of which with alabaster walls. Yet again, the location in the middle of the island, this position in the countryside, is very charming.
